Aston Villa will be looking to return to the Premier League following a two-year absence when they face Fulham in the Championship play-off final at Wembley on Saturday.
The Midlands outfit set up a clash against the Cottagers by beating Middlesbrough 1-0 on aggregate across the two legs of their semi-final tie, as they once again showed their strength from a defensive point of view.
It could be a different story against Slavisa Jokanovic’s men however, after the west London outfit finished the league campaign with 79 goals from their 46 Championship matches – only champions Wolves netted more.
While Villa manager Steve Bruce, who could decide to make a shock change in attack at Wembley, has often switched between 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 and 4-1-4-1 systems – the latter of which he used against Boro with Mile Jedinak sitting in front of the back four – his opponent this weekend Jokanovic has deployed a more attacking 4-3-3 system.

Villa certainly have the players to use that formation too with Josh Onomah, Jack Grealish, Robert Snodgrass, Albert Adomah and Birkir Bjarnason all capable of playing as wingers in a front three, and it could boost their chances of getting the win that would take them back to the Premier League if they are match up to a strong Fulham team.
