Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe has explained he is "not concerned" about rape allegations made against him in Stockholm.

In an interview with Clique, Mbappe continued to deny allegations of rape against him and re-emphasised his surprise that there was an investigation into the accusations. In October, an investigation into an alleged rape at a hotel in Stockholm was opened and Swedish media outlets reported that Mbappe was the subject of the inquiries. Mbappe continues to claim his innocence.

WHAT MBAPPE SAID
Speaking to Clique, via , Mbappe said: "I was surprised. These are things that happen that you don't see coming. I didn't receive anything, no summons. I read the same thing as everyone else. The Swedish government didn't say anything. I'm not concerned.
"It didn't weigh on me, because I never felt concerned. There's a lot of noise, but I've always had the same intention, which is to concentrate on my job and see how it ends. If justice summons me, I will simply go.
"It wasn't even a night out. I had five days off, I decided to leave. I was supposed to go somewhere else, but the coach told me to go somewhere less exposed. It's going well, I'm relaxed. Before leaving, there's this photo of me leaving the restaurant. There were lots of people ready to welcome me for the departure, lots of journalists…"

Mbappe has been supported by Real Madrid who, according to , view the accusations as the "the biggest fake in the history of sport". Swedish media outlet, Expressen, claimed that the Real Madrid forward was "reasonably suspected" of rape and sexual assault and reported that clothing had been seized by police as evidence. No formal charges have been brought against Mbappe.

Mbappe has endured a tough start to life at Real Madrid but scored last time out against Girona and will hope to find the back of the net again on Tuesday against Atalanta in the Champions League.
