Aston Villa are reportedly weighing up Alex McLeish’s future, with a potential move for Norwich boss Paul Lambert on the cards, according to The Sun.

The Midlands club have had a terrible run of form of late, with only one win from their last 13 games seeing the Villa Park outfit only three points above the dropzone.

Despite a recent backing of McLeish, the Scottish manager is not a popular man amongst the club’s fans, largely down to negative tactics and the fact that he came from cross-town rivals Birmingham City.

A tally of only seven wins this term has McLeish’s job at risk, and reports are linking his countryman Paul Lambert as a potential successor.

The Norwich boss has led the Canaries to the Premier League with successive promotions and impressed onlookers with a brand of attacking football and no fear approach that sees the newly-promoted side safe in midtable.
